What Is the 2019 Mazda CX-9?
The 2019 Mazda CX-9 is an SUV with room for up to seven people in three rows. It’s powered by a 227-horsepower, turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission. Front- and all-wheel-drive models are available. Competitors include the Honda Pilot, Nissan Pathfinder and Toyota Highlander.

What's New on the 2019 Mazda CX-9?
Touring and higher trim levels now include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity. Grand Touring models, meanwhile, add a 7-inch instrument panel screen, a 360-degree camera system, ventilated front seats and power-folding side mirrors.

What Features in the 2019 Mazda CX-9 Are Most Important?
Standard features include three-zone automatic air conditioning, cruise control and a 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system. A blind spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alert is also standard. Available active safety features include lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking.  

Should I Buy the 2019 Mazda CX-9?
In keeping with Mazda's image of fun-to-drive performance, the CX-9's driving experience is considerably more engaging than the three-row SUV norm. Handling is excellent, and the turbo four-cylinder engine is strong. The interior is also classy. Downsides include a multimedia system that can be hard to use and less cabin space than its main competitors, particularly in the third row.
